Retirement Homes, as a typology, tend to synonymise ageing with decline. Isolated, grouped communities living in clinical, impersonal spaces are led to live contentedly, yet silently. Ageing populations are pushed from the limelight; deemed too old, too frail, too late in life to begin anew. `

Just as Mallorca’s Song of the Sibyl folklore survived through intergenerational communal action, this project rejects individualism for shared responsibility. L’ull de la Sibil·la replaces passive decline with living with purpose, driven by Ambition and Connection.
